Overview

Intense Oud is an Amazon-first fragrance brand with a growing catalog. When Exovate took over the account in February 2022, it was selling steadily but under-using its advertising: PPC drove only about a third of ordered product sales, and the account structure limited how far it could scale.

The Challenge

The 2021 baseline was $1.82M in ordered product sales, with PPC contributing $619K. An audit found four gaps: listings that were not converting as well as they could, a PPC structure below standard, no systematic bid or placement optimization, and a budget allocation that produced high TACoS, low sales and weak conversion rates.

What We Did

  1. 01Rebuilt the PPC account structure from the ground up
  2. 02Organized campaigns into brand-based portfolios for cleaner control and reporting
  3. 03Ran fresh keyword research to find the high-intent terms the account was missing
  4. 04Optimized bids and placements continuously instead of leaving them on autopilot
  5. 05Reallocated budget toward the campaigns and products that earned it
  6. 06Expanded the advertised catalog as the account grew

Results

Ordered product sales grew from $1.82M in 2021 to $11.27M in 2023, roughly six times in two years. The 2022 figure of $3.46M covers 5 April to 31 December. PPC revenue grew from $619K to $6.7M over the same period, more than ten times, taking advertising from about a third of sales to nearly sixty percent. The 2023 goal was to double revenue, and the account finished at more than three times the 2022 figure.
