Overview
Nicks is a direct-to-consumer ice cream and chocolate brand. Exovate took full ownership of email as a revenue channel, covering strategy, execution and optimization from a standing start.
The Challenge
There was no working lifecycle programme to build on. Flows did not exist, tracking metrics were not installed, and the list had never been cleaned or segmented, so email was contributing under ten percent of store revenue.
What We Did
(01)Month 1: foundation
- Built welcome, abandoned cart and checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase and winback flows
- Installed tracking metrics and built sign-up forms
- Cleaned and segmented the list
(02)Months 2 to 7: ongoing management
- Ran a monthly content calendar with seasonal and strategic planning
- A/B tested subject lines, send times and calls to action
- Optimized campaigns weekly and worked deliverability continuously
Results
Monthly email-attributed revenue grew from A$1,188 in month one to A$31,281 in month seven, a 26-fold increase. Email's share of total store revenue rose from 9.37% to 29.95% over the same period. The step change lands in month four, when the flows built in month one had matured and campaign cadence was established.
